IT'S A GIRL!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

We went for an ultrasound at 15 weeks and found out we are having a little girl!! I get an ultrasound at the hospital at 20 weeks but we wanted to know ASAP so we opted to go to an ultrasound place out in town to find out early. Morgan has been saying all along that this one is a girl. I don't know what gave him that inclination but he was right! We are both really excited. I think initially he was a little nervous. As he said, "I am scared for my life now." A girl is going to be a whole different ball game. But I know with every ounce of me that he will be an outstanding father to her just like he is with Cayle. I can't wait to see the bond that he will make with our daughter.
As for me, I am over the moon. The thought of having two boys sounded so fun but I have always dreamed of having a daughter. I adore the relationship I have with my mother and grandmothers and have always wanted to share that with a daughter of my own.
We had a name picked out before the ultrasound. But now that we know she is a she...Morgan has changed his mind. So, we are still trying to decide on a name. We have plenty of time to decide but I am just so ready to have a name for her so I can start calling her by name. :)
The second trimester is going way better than the first. I am getting my energy back and have started back running again. I am eating constantly and not eating as many sweets...just eating anything and everything. I was getting headaches pretty freaquently and found out that chocolate can trigger headaches so I have cut back on that. I definitely haven't had as many headaches since. I must say I have some amazing friends and they are always there to answer questions or help me out when I am unsure as to what is going on with this pregnant body. It is really nice to have nurse friends!!! :)
Other than feeling better and eating all the time...that is about it. We now tell Cayle all the time that he is going to be a big brother and he seems really excited. I think he is slowly comprehending what it means. He has a book about being a big brother and he LOVES it. It has really helped him understand the concept. When we ask him if he is happy he is going to have a baby sister he always replies with, "YEAH!!".
I am just so excited about this baby and am trying to enjoy this pregnancy and not rush it. Even though I can't wait to have our little girl here!!!!
Thanks to everyone for all of the love and support. I will say it a million times...we have the best family and friends ever!!

12 Weeks

I am officially in the second trimester! The past two weeks have been far better than the several previous weeks. The first trimester was definitely not as rough as Cayle's first trimester but this one wasn't super fun either. I was nauseous a lot, tired a lot, and gave up my running/exercise regiment. :( However, I am feeling much better and slowly getting my energy back. I plan to ease back into walking/running and hopefully be able to do what I can for as long as I can during the pregnancy.
I definitely eat...a lot. I craved fruit a lot with my first pregnancy. This time I have been craving waffles, sweets, and just food. Not any food though. A lot of foods I normally like turn my stomach. But I have still been able to eat a variety of fruits and veggies...which is good!
It has been challenging taking care of a toddler and being pregnant with no energy. There were some days where I would lay on the couch and dread getting up to do anything. But of course I had to. I am so glad those days are dwindling and I can be more active with Cayle.
We should be finding out the gender of the baby in a few weeks. I can't wait!! We have some names picked out for a boy or girl. I can't wait to know what this baby will be called!
So glad to be in the second trimester and looking forward to having my energy back!
That is all for now!

9 Weeks

I am 9 weeks today and boy oh boy have the past few weeks been a roller coaster. The week after I found out I was expecting I felt great. I really thought I was in the clear for a super smooth pregnancy. I must have spoke too soon.
The morning sickness hit me at about week 7 and has been on attack ever since. Although, some days I feel great and have so spells of nausea. It is awesome! On the days I do feel sick it is usually worse at night. It will come and go all throughout the day though. I was so sick one day last week that I couldn't keep anything down and thought I may have a stomach virus. But the next morning I woke up and was fine. I was very weak from only being able to keep chicken broth down the day before but other than that I was okay.
The past few days have been good! I definitely love the days I feel good and don't feel sick. I actually get stuff accomplished!

My cravings have been all over the chart. Some days I want sweets and some days I crave beer. It is crazy. Two of my favorite things are spicy food and chocolate. However, for some reason those two things don't agree with me this pregnancy. I seriously need to lay off of them and relieve myself the torture they cause....but it is just so hard! :)

We have been telling Cayle that I have a baby in my tummy. I don't think he quite understands. I think once my belly is bigger and it is obvious that something is inside there then he will understand better.

We go for our first OB appt tomorrow. I cannot wait!! We will do the countless amounts of paperwork, get an ultrasound and hopefully hear the heartbeat!

Morgan thinks this one is a girl. I really don't have a feeling either way. We do have some girl names we like and no boy names. So, it will probably be a boy. haha

I will update tomorrow after our appointment to let you know how it went! I can't wait to see our little bit!!

Here is a picture of my 6 and 9 week profile. I am definitely getting a bulge!!!

6 Weeks

God has blessed our family once again! We are expecting baby Jones #2 in July of 2013. Morgan and I are really excited! We recently decided we would work on baby #2 and it definitely happened sooner than we expected. However, we couldn't be more excited. I am so thrilled that Cayle will have a little brother or sister to love on and play with as they grow older. Morgan is excited that Cayle will have a sibling close in age like he had growing up. He loved the fact that him and his brothers were close in age and said he wanted that for Cayle.

Cayle is at the age where he is starting to love babies. Anytime we are out in public he always points out a baby if he sees one. A couple of our friends have babies and he always loves and hugs on them. Sometimes he is a bit rough but we are working on that. haha

My first appointment with the OB for a checkup and ultrasound isn't until December 20th. I will be nine weeks then. We should be able to hear the heart beat then! I can't wait!!

I constantly am thanking God for choosing me to mother another child. I pray that this baby will grow to be strong and healthy just like it's brother. But no matter what....all is in God's hands and I am not worried.
Morgan is rooting for a boy but thinks it's a girl. I am kind of thinking it is a girl but really don't care either way. I would love to have a little girl but I also love the thought of Cayle having a brother. They would be best buds and could play swords and football and trucks. But if we have a girl...hopefully she will do all that too. :)

This pregnancy (so far) has been very different than my last. I haven't had morning sickness and barely feel pregnant half the time. I am just hoping this continues and I have a great pregnancy. I was so sick with Cayle for the first two trimesters. Maybe my body isn't in shock this time and it will be smooth sailing.
I have been craving sweets a lot this time and will have days I eat non-stop and other days I don't have much of an appetite. I pee a lot and some days am really tired. But other than that everything is great!!
I plan to blog throughout this pregnancy just like I did before. I am going to take pics along the way to compare the pregnancies. I can't wait to see how similar and/or different they are.
Well, that is all for now. Please keep this baby bean in your thoughts and prayers!! We are just six weeks so we still have a long way to go!!

Thanks so much to our friend Ashley for taking family pics for us!
